How Does the North Carolina Society of Engineers Function?

The Board of Directors, operating under the NCSE constitution and by-laws, manages affairs of the Society.

The Board consists of the President; First Vice-President; Second Vice-President; Secretary; Treasurer; Immediate Past President; Chairman - Publications Committee; eight voting members, two (2)  residents of each of the four (4)  districts, elected by the membership in those districts; and the Presidents of affiliate clubs located throughout North Carolina.

The Board of Directors holds at least four (4)  meetings annually; two (2) of these meetings are normally held during the semi-annual meetings of the Society.

The work of the Society is accomplished by Standing Committees of member volunteers. These committees address a wide range of subjects including environmental, legislative, social and educational issues relevant to the engineering profession. On major issues, the Society adopts resolutions stating the position of its membership and distributes the resolutions as appropriate.
